As this role requires daily communication with NDIS participants who have cognitive disability, ability to communicate clearly is a must. About the role We're looking for a passionate senior leader with experience in SIL & Respite care. This full-time role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead our team of residential support workers while actively assisting clients and ensuring our various accommodations are managed optimally to provide unwavering support to our clients. Notably, it includes travel to the SIL house location, allowing you to personally oversee and enhance our services, making a direct impact on the well-being of those we serve. Pay: Level 2.3 as per SCHADS award What are we looking for? - Minimum 2+ years' experience within the disability, community services or similar in assisting clients with high care physical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours (highly valued)
- Willingness to support clients with personal care including showering, manual handling, medications, community access, meal preparation, domestic chores and mealtime assistance.
- Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
- Must be available to work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts & active nights.
Selection Criteria - At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the Disability or Community services sector
- Certificate III or above in Disability, Community Services or equivalent
- Passionate to work alongside clients with disability and a customer service focused approach
- Experience working with rostering systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to the SIL house Facility - Highton VIC

- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Current First aid and CPR certificate
- Current Victorian Driver’s License
- Manual handling certificate
- Medication administration certificate
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
