About the role:

We are currently looking for experienced, committed, and compassionate support workers to provide one-to-one support services to a female client needing assistance with personal care, manual handling etc. in our newly established SDA/SIL accommodation in Point Cook, Victoria.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 1+ years' prior experience in provision of one-to-one support for people from the mental health or community services sectors, working with complex clients.
• Experience with supporting individuals who have mental health and physical disabilities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours (highly valued)
• Willingness to support clients with personal care including showering, manual handling, medications, community access, meal preparation, domestic chores and mealtime assistance.
• Demonstrable communication skills including report writing, case note writing.
• Must be available to work 20+ hours per week and able to work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts.

Mandatory Requirement -

• Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
• Valid Victorian Driver’s License 
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
• Manual Handling certificate 
• Medication Administration certificate
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check
• National Police Check (obtained within last 6 months)
