About the role

 

We are currently looking for experienced, committed, and compassionate disability support workers to provide respite services in our newly established SIL accommodations within the southeast suburbs such including Junction Village, Cranbourne and Clyde.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience within the disability, community services or similar in assisting clients with high care physical requirements.
  • Experience working with non-verbal clients having Intellectual disability, Cerebral Palsy, ASD & epilepsy.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours (highly valued)
  • Willingness to support clients with personal care including showering, manual handling, medications, community access, meal preparation, domestic chores and mealtime assistance.
  • Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
  • Must be available to work 20+ hours per week and able to work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts & active nights. 

 

Mandatory Requirement -

  • Valid Victorian Driver’s License 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Manual Handling certificate 
  • Medication Administration certificate
  • Victorian Working with Children’s Check
  • National Police Check (obtained within last 6 months)
