Cocoon SDA Care provides support staff to NDIS-registered providers. Our houses offer our participants a place they can call home, whilst encouraging independence and lifestyle choices that suit their individual needs. Trust and respect in our interactions with each other are our ways of working. The role: 

You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence. If you have the passion for supporting individuals to realise their full potential, make choices and be in control of the decisions that affect their lives, this could be the opportunity for you.

• Experience in managing participants who require support with complex care and high physical needs.

• Ability to follow through Individual Support Plans and knowledge of the BSP 
• Experience in acquired brain injuries, Mental Health and neuro degenerative diseases would be an advantage

Mandatory requirement

• Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster, including public holidays and be able attend training or meetings as required. 
• Certificate III in Disability, or Individual Support or equivalent 
• First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willing to obtain. 
• Current Driver’s License (mandatory).

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check and a Working with Children Check.
