The role: 

  • Female only.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Multiple positions available.
  • Available for morning shifts right through to sleepovers
  • Experienced female disability support worker who has experience in disability support.

  • We are seeking casual that will lead to permanent or part time disability support Workers who have experience in supporting children with high intellectual support needs.

  • 20+ hours per week paid employment 
  • Experience supporting people with medical support needs.
  • Experience supporting people with behaviours of concerns.
  • Experience supporting people with difficulties in communication.
  • Providing complex care and support to participant with challenging behaviours and ability to comply individual Behaviour Support Plan.
  • Ability to complete medical charts and records.
  • Ability to complete shift notes and progress notes.
  • Providing support around personal care, including bathing/showering, toileting, dressing and medication administration.
  • Ability to recognise and understand individual changes.
  • Domestic duties for a clean and hygienic environment and workplace. Cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.

Mandatory requirement

  • Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability Support
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 
  • NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You)
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to support a young child with an intellectual disability and high behaviours
  • Must be available to work various shifts including passive sleepover.
  • Must be able to drive participant’s vehicle
  • Worked with children of high complex behaviour support

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check and a Working with Children Check.
