Research and Development Manager Role: We seek a highly motivated and proactive research and development manager to work for Horizon SolSolutions Australia Pty Ltd. You will be required to plan, organise, direct, control, and coordinate research and development activities within Cocoon SDA Care. If you are passionate about contributing to research & development and have the required experience, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team. The candidate must have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field and at least two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in the disability sector or similar field. Australian Citizens / Permanent Residents are preferred. Tasks & responsibilities - Planning, monitoring organizing, conducting, and coordinating research and development activities within the organisation.
- Determining, implementing, and monitoring research and development strategies, policies, plans and procedures.
- To support policies and commercial development leading research projects and coordinating research activities. Assessing the benefits and monitoring the cost effectiveness of research and development activities.
- Involved in collecting and analyzing the research data in collaboration with the service managers, community engagement managers, support workers, and participants according to the NDIS policies and procedures.
- Interpretation of results of research projects and providing recommendations on the basis of those results.
- Provide advice on research and development options available in organisation in consideration of policies and procedures of organisation.
- Coordinating with allied health workers and behaviour practitioners during data collection activities.
- Assessing the risk and evaluating the incident reports of the participants.
- Play a role in improving the service delivery in all Australian regions serving under the Cocoon platform.
- To develop plans and methodologies with development of questionnaires to have insights of participants about service delivery.
- To work on decision making by participants by access and planning and equity of provision of supports on participants outcome.
- To draw conclusions in order to improve services like psychotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy through monitoring and evaluation of data within the organisation.
- Monitoring leading-edge developments in relevant disciplines and assessing implications for the organisation.
Essential Skills - Ability to critically analyse and synthesize new and complex information from diverse sources including participants history and clinical diagnosis.
- Experience in working with persons living with disabilities especially complex cases is mandatory.
- Analyzing and evaluating the research data and improving the service delivery across Australia.
Job Requirements - 2+ years’ of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the Disability Act (2016) (or demonstrated commitment to acquire such knowledge quickly)
- Demonstrated commitment to research activities
- A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field
