About the role

We are looking for support workers to help who have industry experience, manual handling skills and the following attributes:  

• Experience managing participants who require support with complex care and high physical needs.

• We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who has experience in supporting participants with highly complex needs.  
• You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs and manual handling requirements to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence.  
• Enable our participants to shape and improve their lives.  
• Create opportunities, are champions of connecting their abilities, and inspire partnerships of support that encourage every individual to realise their full potential. 
• As a support worker, you will be rewarded for your skills and commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care.  
• Enjoy working in a family-friendly, supportive, close-knit environment driven by strong values. 
• 25+ hours per week paid employment 
• Shits from 9am to 2pm and 5pm to 6am (Sleepovers), all through week
• Candidates who are looking for placements are also welcome to apply for this position.
• Willing to pick shifts in Wallan if requested.

Mandatory Onboarding Docs: 

• • Cert III in Disability Services or 12months experience  
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 
  • NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You)
  • Working with Children Check (underage participants only)
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Car Insurance
  • Reliable vehicle

Additional skillset:

• • Behaviours
  • Personal care experience
  • Manual handling

Requisites:

• • Must be available for sleep over shifts.  
  • At least 1 year as a DSW in NDIS sector 
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid and practice
