We’re seeking Casual Support Workers to temporarily replace our staff who are on leave during the upcoming holiday season. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to a supportive and compassionate environment.

You will provide care and assistance to clients across the SIL houses in the Western suburbs & Oak Park ensuring continuity of service during the festive period. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a high standard of support and care.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 1+ years' prior experience in provision of one-to-one support for people from the mental health or community services sectors, working with complex clients.
• Experience with supporting individuals who have mental health and physical disabilities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours (highly valued)
• Willingness to support clients with personal care including showering, manual handling, medications, community access, meal preparation, domestic chores and mealtime assistance.
• Demonstrable communication skills including report writing, case note writing.
• Must be available to work 10+ hours per week and able to work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts and active nights.

Mandatory Requirement -

• Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
• Valid Victorian Driver’s License
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
• Manual Handling certificate 
• Medication Administration certificate
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check
